BLUFFTON — Andrew R. Reese, 26, of Bluffton died June 4, 2014 following an accident at his residence.  He was born Oct. 1, 1987 in Findlay to Gary and Shannon Boyle Reese who survive in Bluffton.

Andrew lived in Russia for year during his childhood, where he developed a love of travel, knew no strangers, and learned to have total acceptance of everyone.     He was an entrepreneur by nature, selling candy door-to-door at age 4 and starting a web design service in his teens.  He saw possibilities everywhere!  He grew up at Cable Road Alliance Church and, among other activities, he volunteered to run sound and power point for services for several years.   Later in Chicago, he worked grounds crew at Soldier Field and did stage and sound set-up for large concert venues.

He loved to cook and, during his time in Chicago, he interned with two different skilled chefs.  He loved to serve people, entertain, and evoke laughter.  In recent years, he developed a passion for karaoke.

Because of his struggle with addiction, he met people from all walks of life with similar issues.  Part of his recovery process was reaching out and helping others.  He became involved in recovery programs via halfway houses, group homes, rehabilitation efforts, training, accountability, and support.  He was a master networker who helped people find the help they needed and many people credited Andrew with saving their lives.  As a natural progression of his work, his last successful venture was a recovery program in Florida.  This was designed to provide support and accountability for people transitioning from halfway houses into society.  One of Andrew’s strengths and passions was to accept people unconditionally.

With his fiery red hair and his strong passions, he lived life out loud!  He passionately loved his family and friends.

Survivors also include two God-sisters, Hyphen (Craig) Mathis of Lakeland, FL, and Yanna Schuko of Moscow, Russia,  and  grandmothers, Janice Reese of Lima, and Rosa Reese. His many uncles and aunts around the country include: Doug and MaryAnn Reese, Tina Reese, Bryan and Debi Boyle, Kelly and Doug Hart, Kevin and Sheree Boyle, Tracey and Matt Thayer, Collin and Suzy Boyle, Neil and Helen Boyle, Michael and Lisa Boyle and many cousins: Lauren, Amanda, Abby, Stacy, Heidi, Amber, Dana, Sami, Jake, Keren, David, Michael, Cory, Katie, Sean, Ryan, Conner, Kyle, Danielle, Amanda, Rachael, Danny, Brendan, Sabrina, Gregory, Marla, Savannah, and Rees.  He was preceded in death by a God-sister, Kelly Fitzpatrick, and grandparents, Robert R. Reese, and Neil and Callista Boyle.

Funeral services will begin at 12 p.m.,  Friday, at Cable Road Alliance Church, Lima.  Rev. Mike Boyes will officiate.  The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to TLU Pet Services, Bluffton, or to Pioneers for the ministry of Yanna Schuko (contact family for instructions).
