Putnam County Sheriff Michael Chandler has issued a Level 2 Roadway Advisory for Putnam County. The Level 2 alert was issued at 1:18p.m., Thursday, Jan. 2. A Level 2 alert means roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Only those that feel it is necessary to drive should be out on the roadways. Contact your employer to see if you should report to work.

The Snow advisory will remain in effect until otherwise lifted by Sheriff Chandler.
A winter weather advisory issued by the National Weather Service remains in effect until 4 p.m. Thursday.
Light to moderate snow will diminish through the day, ending across northwest Ohio late this afternoon. An additional snow accumulation of 1-3 inches are possible today.
Northeast winds of 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 25 mph will cause blowing and driving snow. The strongest wind gusts are expected this afternoon.
