OTTAWA — Three fire departments were still on the scene Friday morning for two house fires and a fire near a shed, all in the same neighborhood in Ottawa. The state fire marshall's office has been called in to investigate the fires.

Ottawa fire chief Dan Rieman said the fires are suspicious. Neither home had utilities and the power had been cut off to the homes. They are homes that are in the flood zone, that had recently been turned over to the village of Ottawa as part of the Hazard Mitigation Flood Program.

The Ottawa Fire Department was called to the scene at 5:17 a.m. One home is located at 315 N. Perry Street. The second home is located at 529 W. Third Street.

Also called to the scene were Leipsic, Glandorf and Kalida Fire Departments.
