Museum will share memories during open house

KALIDA - Once upon a Christmas will be featured at the 28th annual museum Christmas open house sponsored by the Putnam County Historical Society. This event will be held Friday, Dec. 6, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 8 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the museum in Kalida.

Victorian dollhouses will be on display during the open house. Other features include a '60s Christmas, childhood memories, antique Christmas decor and carols on the parlor organ. Santa Claus will make an appearance at the museumon Friday at 7 p.m.
This year the Putnam County Historical Society is sponsoring a CHristmas raffle including a decorated Christmas tree. nativity centerpiece and Christmas wreath. The drawing will be held on Sunday afternoon. TIckets are $1 each or 6 for $5.
Entertainment will be provided throughout the weekend. Memberships, books including Putnam County Courthouse Centennial books and memorial bricks will be available for purchase.
Homemade cookies and Christmas punch will be servedin the kitchen. Admission to all events is free.
The Historical Society memories invite you to join them for Christmas at the museum as they bring back memories of Christmas past and present.
