BLUFFTON - A movie about the life of Mary, mother of Christ, is coming to the area. "Mary Of Nazareth" is an epic new motion picture about the life of Mary, mother of Christ, from her childhood through the Resurrection of Jesus. The full-length feature film (in English) about the life of the Mother of Christ was filmed in Europe to feature authentic locations, an amazing cast, and an incredible music score. This film beautifully presents Mary's complete faith and trust in God, her simple humanity, and the love and compassion she shows for others. The movie offers a glimpse into her life and the role she played in God's plan for human redemption. "Mary Of Nazareth" illustrates the special relationship Mary had with Christ, as well as the incredible suffering she endured through his passion and death, but further the ultimate joy she experienced at His Resurrection.

A group of young people from Putnam County is sponsoring showings of this movie. The movie "Mary Of Nazareth" is the kick-off event for this group planning to attend World Youth Day 2016 in Krakow, Poland. The group of young people from Ottawa Sts. Peter & Paul, Glandorf St. John the Baptist, Kalida St. Michael's, and Continental St. John's are planning numerous other events for fundraising and faith sharing, in addition to this movie showing.

This movie will have a series of exclusive showings at Shannon Theater in Bluffton. Movie dates and times: Dec. 28 at 10 a.m., Dec. 31 at 7 p.m., Jan. 1, 4, and 11 at 10 a.m. The film is rated PG for some violent content (murder of the innocents and the crucifixion scenes.)
