OTTAWA — Today is the last day you can buy a cup of lemonade and also support Nationwide Children's Hospital.

Owen Thomas, Ottawa, and his friends have a lemonade stand at 1140 E. Second Street, Ottawa. The stand was opened on Wednesday and will close later today (Thursday).

Owen, who was a patient at Nationwide Children's Hospital a few years ago said it is his way of saying thanks. He had a kidney removed and said all the staff members were very nice.

“I just wanted to do something to help them,” Owen said. His donations goes towards items needed for the children at the hospital. This is the second year Owen has had a lemonade stand to raise money for the hospital.
