Dog license sales extended until Feb. 7

OTTAWA — Putnam County dog license sales will be extended one week due to harsh weather conditions. The deadline to purchase your 2014 Dog License will be Friday, Feb. 7, 2014. If mailing the dog license form in, it must be postmarked Feb. 7. Any dog license form postmarked after that date will be considered late and a penalty fee will be charged.
Dog licenses are $16 per dog and after Feb. 7 dog licenses will be $32 per dog. A kennel license is $80 per five dogs and after Feb. 7 kennel licenses will be $160 per five dogs. Please be aware that just dating your check prior to the deadline will still be considered late if the envelope is postmarked after Feb. 7.
The Putnam County Dog Shelter will be selling dog licenses at the dog shelter on Saturday, Feb. 1 from 9 a.m. to noon. All dogs over the age of three months are required to have a current dog license per State of Ohio Law. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact
