OTTAWA — During their May 2014 Annual Conference and Business Meeting, the Ohio Cooperative Education Association (OCEA) named Jill Collet as Educator of the Year. Jill is an Assistant Professor, Educator, in the Division of Professional Practice & Experiential Learning at the University of Cincinnati (UC).

In this position, she is responsible for teaching, advising, and managing the biomedical engineering cooperative education (co-op) program. Jill was recognized for her commitment to OCEA holding various positions on the executive board since 2008. Under her leadership, the biomedical engineering co-op program has grown by over 30%, she has also held key roles in regional professional organizations and internal committees, including curriculum, professional standards review, and training for a recent software rollout. In the community, she involved in the St. George Interfaith Food Pantry, Give Back Beyond Cincinnati, and St. Monica-St. George Parish.

A 2001 Ottawa-Glandorf High School graduate, Jill holds a BS in Biomedical Engineering and a Master of Public Health, both from UC. She is the daughter of Tim & Jean Collet, Glandorf, and granddaughter of Betty Maag, Leipsic.
