OTTAWA — Paul Shin calls the United States ‘a wonder country.’

“There is no country like the United States,” he said recently while speaking to the Ottawa Kiwanis. He should know. Shin is an immigrant from Korea. He escaped Korea to come to the United States when Communism was taking over the country.

Shin was the founder of Medilab, the company that did testing for the Kiwanis Health Fair for over 25 years before he sold the company several years ago.
