CONTINENTAL — A house in Continental is considered a total loss following a fire early Wednesday morning.

The Putnam County Sheriff's office received a call at 12:10 a.m. from a resident at 310 W. Rice Street regarding a fire inside the residence. The caller reported a fire in a wall. The caller and all occupants were able to exit the residence safely.

When Continental Fire Department arrived on scene it was a working fire. Mutual aid was provided by Oakwood Fire Department and Kalida Fire Department.

The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time. The residence is owned by Seth Weller. There were no injuries.

Also assisting on scene were the Continental EMS, Putnam County EMS, Putnam County Chapter of the Red Cross for support to the family and Ohio Power Company came to disconnect the service.

All departments were back in service at 4:46 a.m.
