Mackenzie L. Basham, 20, Lima, was sentenced to seven years in prison for burglary, with sentence to run concurrent with an Allen County case. She was given credit for two days served and ordered to pay $1,000 restitution.

Aug. 26

Shannon M. Peters, Fort Jennings, was granted a divorce from Steven C. Peters, Spencerville. They were married May 29, 2010 in Mandale, and have one child.

Aug. 27

Jayden E. Bess, 19, Ottawa, pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property. He faces up to 12 months in prison and $2,500 in fines. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted. Sentencing was scheduled for 2 p.m. Sept. 22.

Melody R. Leap, Ottawa, was granted a divorce from Travis J. Leap, Ottawa. They were married Feb. 14, 2013 in Ottawa, and have no children.

Aug. 28

Alberto Gutierrez, Jr., 39, Putnam County Jail, was sentenced to eight years in prison for trafficking in drugs (cocaine), one year for permitting drug abuse with specification (Ford Taurus) and 18 months for trafficking in drugs (marijuana) with specification ($3,740 cash). The first two counts are to be served concurrent, and consecutive with the third count, with credit for 150 days served. He must forfeit $1,400 seized and a $3,740 black four-door Ford Taurus. His driver’s license was suspended for five years. He was originally charged with three counts trafficking in drugs (marijuana), two counts trafficking in drugs (cocaine), and four counts permitting drug abuse (motor vehicle) with specification.
