LEGAL NOTICE

Sealed proposals will be received by the Miller City-New Cleveland Schools Board of Education, 200 N. Main Street, Miller City, Ohio 45864 at the treasurer’s office until 3:00 PM, April 12, 2017 and at that time opened by the treasurer of said board as provided by law for one or more (84) passenger transit buses and according to specifications of said board of education.

Separate and independent bids will be received with respect to a complete unit, and will state that the bus, when assembled and prior to the delivery, comply with all school district specifications, all safety regulations and current Ohio minimum standards for school bus construction of the Department of Education adopted by and with the consent of the Director of Highway Safety pursuant to section 4511.76 of the Ohio Revised Code and all other provisions of law.

Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of a bid bond for the full amount of the bid or certified check for ten percent (10%) of the bid. Bid should include for an outright purchase as well as a three year lease to own purchase option.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING # 2

Program Year 2017 Community Housing Impact

& Preservation Program

Putnam County intends to apply to the Ohio Development Services Agency for funding under the Community Housing Impact & Preservation Program (CHIP), which includes funds from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME programs administered by the State and funded by the U.S. Department of HUD, and Ohio Housing Trust Funds. The County is partnering with Allen County and the City of Delphos together they are eligible to apply for $1,250,000 in PY’2017 for affordable housing activities.

The County will requests funds for the following activities: with HOME funds: Private Owner Rehabilitation -$635,000/16 units; New Construction with Habitat for Humanity-$66,000/3 units; Tenant Rent Assistance - $24,000/4 units; Administration - $70,000. With CDBG funds: Home Repair-$275,000/25 owner units, $34,000/4 rental units; Administration & Fair Housing ($80,000); with Ohio Housing Trust Funds-Owner Home Repair $66,000/4 units. The partners will also commit program income funds for related activities.

On January 25, 2017, the County held the first of two public hearings to inform citizens about the CDBG program, including an explanation of eligible activities and requirements.

A second public hearing will be held on April 11, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. in the Putnam County Courthouse Assembly Room, 245 East Main Street, Ottawa, Ohio 45875 to provide citizens with pertinent information on the County’s CHIP application, including an explanation of activities and eligibility. Citizens are encouraged to attend this meeting on April 11, 2017 and provide their input on the County’s CHIP program.

Should any participant require auxiliary aids due to disability or non-English languages, please contact the commissioners’ office at 419-523-3656 at least one week prior to the hearing date to ensure needs will be accommodated.
